Well, since I came here to let you know about the earthquake news, I decided to also tell you a little about what has been going on in my life lately.
1st.- Supposedly I had to come back to classes yesterday, ’cause, supposedly, the strike was over. But I couldn’t go and, at night, my friends told me nothing happened, classes didn’t start normally and we’re still under strike until further notice. So I’m kinda happy because of that, ’cause I didn’t really feel like going back to classes, even though this means I’ll finish the second semester in January – which was going to happen anyway, even if we started classes normally yesterday -.
That sucks and I know I suck too because I’m happy to be under strike but.. I’m just too damn lazy and I’m too happy at home!
2nd.- M. had something like and asthma crisis (?) last Sunday – even though she’s not officially asthmatic (?) – and she barely could breath! So we suffered the most frightening situation ever ’cause she was getting more and more difficulties to breath and she started to feel worst and worst, she almost fainted and there wasn’t much we could do!!! -_-UU Finally, she stopped to feel like she was going to faint because of the little air she was breathing and, little by little, her lungs started to clean out and she could start to breath more or less normally. However, she stood in bed all Sunday and she even agreed not to go to work on Monday – which is something M. never, EVER is willing to do ’cause her job is always first, even if is her health we’re talking about… ¬¬ -. She stood in bed the whole Monday and she had fever and all. She only got up some little times (to have lunch, to have tea…) so she could change a little the position of her body (’cause all her body hurt because of the cold and because of all the time she’s been in bed) and, well. She slept most of the day.
Since I thought I had classes, I thought I would miss them anyway so I could stay home taking care of her. So I spent the day with her, giving her water and doing my best to help her feel better. I went to get food and drinks, I tried to give her food (even though I don’t know how to cook…
) and… Well. She seemed a little better, even though she is coughing like hell. -_-U
She started to take antibiotics yesterday.
3rd.- I’ve barely seen S. since she spent the whole weekend going to study to her friend’s house and she’ll continue to go there through all this week. She’s in her finals (or, well… Kind of… Her University is weird… @_@) and she’s got a lot to study so… She’s been busy. And she even went out when M. was sick, during Sunday! ¬¬ She stayed until she saw mom was better but she just COULDN’T cancel her study appointment!! That angers me a lot!! How can she be so selfish? I know she has to study and all but… Being available on the phone is not the same than to be home and ready to help if M. started to have problems to breath again! ¬¬
Luckily, nothing bad happened and I didn’t need her. -_-
4th.- Yesterday it was the Final Episode of LOS SIMULADORES. The first part of the final episode, anyway, so I’m still anxious to know what’ll happen next week! @_@ But it was such a good episode!!! ♥
5th.- That’s all for now, I guess…
It’s raining and it’s quite cold and dark outside, so I’m happy ’cause I love winter and, if I have to go and buy some stuff again, I’ll be able to enjoy properly this winter day!

I don’t know if you guys have heard of this event, but I just found out today, thanks to the TV news.
This a a fair that’s being held in Japan and that shows several different kinds of technological developments and works as a platform for cultural exchange and discussion of several interesting and relevant topics.
According to their website (available in several languages), this is what the EXPO 2005 AICHI, JAPAN is all about:
The 20th century saw the formation of a new global society. The remarkable progress made in science and technology, the development of high-speed methods of transportation, and the evolution of information and communications technologies have all accelerated the global interchange of people, goods, and information to an unbelievable extent. The world has been truly transformed.Human beings’ seemingly insatiable desire for expansion, the source of this transformation, continues unabated. This has placed a tremendous burden on the natural environment, exceeding its capacity for self-recovery. The result is that we must now deal with a number of potential world crises.
The time has come for the people who make up the global society of the 21st century to work together in the pursuit of a sustainable and harmonious coexistence for all life on Earth. Paramount to this is a global perspective.
EXPO 2005 Aichi, Japan, is the perspective we need.
The inspiration for EXPO 2005 is the marvelous mechanism of nature and the power of life. Learning from the world’s vast collection of wisdom and methods of interaction with nature found around the globe, we hope to bring the world together for the creation of a global society allowing the multitude of cultures and civilizations to coexist together.
EXPO 2005 will be a focal point, acting as the loom for a wonderful creation. The theme of the EXPO-Nature’s Wisdom- will be the vertical thread in this loom and rich and varied exchange-a Grand Intercultural Symphony- the horizontal. When woven together, they will produce a soft, rich and beautiful fabric. Perhaps the fabric for a wonderful new global society.
The participants of EXPO 2005, the nations, regions, private enterprises, independent citizens, NPOs/NGOs, and volunteers that form the backbone of global society, will be the weavers on this loom, sure to produce a wondrous fabric for the world.
Closer contact will naturally give rise to friction-the very reason we wish to carefully nurture reason, love, and the adoration of the objects of beauty that humankind possesses. These are sentiments the world over.
But what will be the catalyst for genuine exchange? We believe the answer to be people meeting people, followed by discourse that goes beyond words to achieve mutual understanding and respect.
EXPO 2005 Aichi, Japan, is the place for this intercultural exchange.
In 2005, the world will gather together in Aichi Prefecture. There, we can weave together a fabric for a new global society; we can stand together, exchange smiles and share the wisdom of the world-felt and enjoyed with all our senses and experienced with our whole being.
Let us do this for all life and the future of our planet!
So you see… It’s filled with several booths were different companies and enterprises from lots of countries go and show their new technologies, their new ways of seeing the world and to co-exist with it, facing the XXI century.
Since it’s being held in Japan, one important element is the technology related. The TOYOTA GROUP PAVILLION is being the stage for shows of several different kinds of robots and other technological new things that will amuse us all. Today I saw a group of robots taking care of a group of children, sweeping the booths’ floors or dancing and playing instruments!!! ♥ It was so cool!!
I don’t know. These kind of things are always interesting and I think you should all go and take a look at them, at least to know they are out there and to know that they are happening right now, as I’m writing this. Specially considering we have some special interest in Japan and its culture and that these kind of things are a faithful picture of what Japan is, what’s life in there and what we all admire and wish to know personally.
So, here are some interesting links for you to visit:
- EXPO 2005 AICHI Official website main page (several language choises)
- EXPO 2005 AICHI English Official website
- Travel to Japan: EXPO 2005 AICHI (article)
And some pictures .

So… I hope you liked it and you’ll find this information useful. And, of course, if you have any comments or have been there or you’ll be going, let me know and share your pics and experiences with me! I found it really interesting (and I know it’s a lot more than robots, but robots its what I like the most… ♥) and… Well. I’d love to know more people who’s interested in thes stuff or have some kind of feedback for the things I post as general information.
Thanks and good night!

Congratulations, Andrea!
Your IQ score is 120This number is based on a scientific formula that compares how many questions you answered correctly on the Classic IQ Test relative to others.
Your Intellectual Type is Inspired Inventor. This means you’ve got exceptional verbal and mathematical skills, and are very good at brainstorming new ideas.
Is this good or bad? High or low? I have no idea but I’m sure this test has no freaking idea of what it’s talking about… exceptional verbal and mathematical skills?? REALLY??? Where are those exceptional mathematical skills that I’ve never heard of them??? ;D I may buy the verbal skills, ’cause that’s maybe my ONLY talent, but… No, I can barely do a 2+2 addition and I GUESSED lots of the answers ’cause I had no idea of how to calculate them so… No. Don’t even try it, quiz, really. I know your intentions are good but I really and royally SUCK at maths and that’s something I have completely assumed!
