Pope John Paul II’s Death Anniversary 4月 3, 2007

On April 2nd, 2005, the dear Pope John Paul II died. It’s been two years since that happened and, today, the news and everyone remembered it.Of course, I couldn’t help it and I also remembered all the stuff that happened along with this great man’s death. ‘Cause April was such a complex month back then! I was submerged into all the decisions I had to make regarding the scholarships and going to Japan and I was so sad and so confused and so… So so many things!
Probably that’s why his death made me come closer to the Catholic church and to believing in something again. Because his death not only meant the end of a whole era that had filled my life since I was a child (he was the only Pope I had ever known and his death was something I couldn’t even imagine!), but it also showed me how many beliefs I shared with him, with the Catholic church he lead for so long.
Today, I respectfully remember his death and pray for his requiescant in pace. And I also pray for his becoming an official saint, for I believe that he deserves to be officially beatified.
